Ancillary Task: Font Research

The type of font we want, is something that potrays our singers personality. From this we decided we want a font that is quite crazy, but not over the top, and gives the feeling of being "rough round the edges." Once again we can look at Kesha and Rihanna for this who both have this type of font throughout their advertising products.

As you can see in both of these album covers, the font they use gives the impression of their personality. They are both quite crazy and rebellious people, which is why these fonts are perfect to be used on their products. Furthermore, these fonts are used at some point of all the advertising for these artists, which helps distinguish who they are- which is why we will do the same.

IDEAS FOR OURS
Charlotte has found a few fonts from the website "da font"- which she feels will be the most affective for our magazine advert and our digipack. They all follow the idea of being a bit rough and portraying rebellion and wildness.

From my research I noticed that the font that is seen on the digipak is usually always seen one the magazine advert too. For example, for Jessie J's album the font used is exactly the same (see below)- this means that the audience can make an association between the two products.

  1. A good set of development. can you come to one specific end point in the font please. Explain why that is the choice of preference.
