Re-Shooting: Day 4

At the weekend me and Sarah Biswell decided to re-shoot some of the scenes from the beginning of our music video. In some of the shots the acting was not so good or their were peoples feets or faces in the shots, so we decided it would be best to do it again. Additionally, we wanted our music video to have a fast pace and have short snappy shots, which the hallway scenes did not have, so we decided to do some more filming so we could add them in.
Since we had some time left at the end, we also filmed the scenes where Ellie is burning the photograph of her and Harry at Eynsford Castle. HOWEVER, we had a huge issue with this, as when we arrived at the location, it was closed down due to Health and Safety Reasons. We decided we would have to film somehwere else which has a similar type of style to Eynsford Castle- so we decided on some woodland behind Sarah Biswells house.

OVERCOMING PROBLEMS

Here is the new location at Sutton-At-Hone, which some woodland area behind Sarahs house. Here we did the scenes where Ellie is burning the photograph. As there were health and safety issues, we bought a large bottle of water with us so that is something was to go wrong then we could put it out easily. We also made sure we had a fully charged phone with us, incase of an accident.

Another issue we had was that Sarah Brushett could not attend the filming, therefore we did not have the coat which is essential for the scenes. We had to find out the location of the house she was at using AA route planner and then had to drive there to collect it. This put back our scedule for a little way, but we soon overcame the problem.

RE-FILMING
The main thing we had to focus on when re-shooting was ensuring that the mise-en-scene was exactly the same as last time. We did not have any of the alcahol bottles so we had to film in angles and positions that did not give this away. Secondly, the bedding was a different colour, so we had to change this also.

We also had to make sure that Ellie looked exactly the same as last time. The only issue we had with this, was ensuring that her makeup looked the same, because it is a main feature of this scene. So we looked up our first clips and then tried to re-create them.

Once we had done all this, we had to re-shoot the scenes. We tried a variety of angles and postions to gaurentee a more interesting and better music video. With these clips we had some problems with lighting, but we overcame these by covering the lights with coats and sheets.
